Cargo partially stolen by pirates
The "C.P. 41" was attacked by six armed pirates in the Gulf of Siam in the night of June 23, 2017. The tanker was en route from Singapore to the Songkla Province in southern Thailand, being loaded with 3,800 tons of diesel. The pirates siphoned 1,500 tons of the fuel and left the tanker in the early morning of June 24. The hijack was reported to Thai authorities. The 17 Thai crew members were unharmed. During the hijack the crew was kept captive at gun point, all communications equipment was taken away or destroyed.
