Border guards of the Russian FSB department for the western Arctic region had detained the 'Pinro 2', after the cre illegally installed a net on the trawl grate in the morning of June 27, in the vicinity of pos. 69 31 12 N, 038 30 36 E. The border control, using technical systems for monitoring fishing activities in the Barents Sea, revealed the non-standard behaviour of the 'Pinro 2' in the fishing grounds. Installing a net cloth on the selective trawl grid was not provided for by the design and technical documentation, and is a violation of paragraph 20.4 of the Fishing Rules for the Northern Fisheries Basin. The 'Pinro 2' with fish products of more than 65 tons was delivered to the port of Murmansk and arrested as part of an administrative investigation. An administrative offense case was initiated against the captain of the vessel under part 2 of Article 8.17 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation "Violation of the rules and requirements governing fishing in internal sea waters, territorial sea, on the continental shelf, in the exclusive economic zone of the Russian Federation or the high seas". The ship remained stationary in port as of Aug 1.
