Collision in oil field
The offshore ship 'Batuira' was in collision with the FPSO 'Petroras 77' at the Buzios oil field, Santos Basin, 200 kilometers off Rio de Janeiro, on March 12, 2020. The vessel sustained serious damages at the port side foreship. The gangway that connects the Maintenance and Safety Unit (UMS) to the FPSO was detached. The vessel reached Ponta Dareia in Rio de Janeiro under own power on March 14 at 1.40 a.m. and was berthed. The 'Petrobras 77' remained operating on a water depth of 1,980 meters and continued its production.
