Ferry wreck still visible 10 years after grounding
Almost ten years after its grounding on June 5, 2014, the corroding wreckage of the vessel can still be seen in pos. 15°1'26" N 23°26'21.5" W. on the coast of Móia-Móia, L da Ilha de Santiago. After the grounding, a road was open and a ramp was built to remove the embarked vehicles. The ship remained on the rocks since. The ship had been sold in 2009 by Pentland Ferries to the company Cabo Verde Maritime in Mindelo, which used it in the traffic of the Cape Verdes until its total loss.
