Missing seacopter found

On Dec 13 the "Passau“ found the wreck of the missing Norwegian Eurocopter in the Luebeck Bight off Sierksdorf. The 1,3 ton-wreck of the Norwegian company Heli Trans went missing on its flight from Lübeck to Halmstad in Schweden. Rund 20 Minuten nach dem Start verschwand sie on Dec 5. In the night of Dec 14 the anti pollution vessel "Scharhörn“ is to raise the wreck supported by mine divers of the German Navy with its 12-ton-crane. It will be taken to Neustadt once it is raised for investigations.

Mine hunter searching for missing helicopter

After daybreak on Dec 11, 2012, the "Passau" started the search for a downed Norwegian Seacoter 350A off Sierksdorf near Neustadt. With sonar the 12 m long helicopter is to be searched after the police asked the German Navy for support. Also the police boat "Falshöft“ was on scene in the Luebeck Bight. The helicopter had took off on Dec 5 at 1.46 p.m. in Luebeck destined for Halmstad and disappeared from the radar screens short time later.On board were the pilot and a Romanian passenger. A backpack of him had drifted on the beach at Pelzerhaken on Dec 6.
