Repair connected with overhaul
After its bottom touch iin Raahe on Dec 13, 2014, the "Pasila" is remaining docked at the Bekker Port in Tallin as in Addition to the repairs to rudder and bottom, a scheduled overhaul which was to be carried out in summer 2015 was performed earlier in connection with average repairs.
Propulsion damage needs repairs in Tallinn
When the "Pasila" touched bottom in Raahe harbour basin in the evening of Dec 13, the ship suffered damage at the rudder and propeller. On Oct 18 at 5 a.m. the ship was towed as dead vessel out of Raahe for drydocking in Tallinn for repairs by the Finnish tug "Ukko", ETA Dec 21, 3 a.m.
Grounding at Raahe
On Dec 13, 2014, the "Pasila" touched bottom at Raahe when entering the port coming from Kokkola in the evening. The crew dropped anchor, but no leaks were found during an inspection. The Kalajoen Coast Guard sent a boat after having been alerted by the MRCC Turku. Also a patrol from Oulu responded. The ship was refloated by a tug a few hours later and assisted to the berth around midnight. The 14 crew members were not in danger. The damage was to be inspected by divers in the run of Dec 14.
