Medevac after stroke
yOn Sep 7, 2022, at 12.30 a.m. a passenger on the 'Pascal Lota' suffered a stroke while the ship was sailing between Corsica and the Côte d'Azur. The CROSS Med was immediately notified and dispatched an Air Force Puma helicopter, based in Solenzara, to hoist the victim. At 2:47 a.m. the helicopter landed at Nice airport where the patient was taken care of by an ambulance and taken to the Pasteur 2 hospital. .
Repairs of grounding damage completed
The "Pascal Lota" which had struck a dike in the evening of July 1 while leaving the port of Bastia, left Drydock Genova after repairs on July 24 at 2.20 p.m. and berthed in Vado Ligure at 7 p.m. On May 27 at 7 a.m. she left bound to Tolone, ETA 3 p.m.
Propulsion damaged by tetrapods
The "Pascal Lota" struck a dike in the evening of July 1, 2017, after having caught by a strong gust of wind and was deviated from its course while leaving the port of Bastia. Two propeller blades struck the tetrapods of the breakwater. The ship had to return to the dock. The passengers were disembarked and carried on by other ferries. The "Pascal Lota" remained in port on July 2 and sailed the next morning at 8 a.m. bound to Genova. The ship entered Drydock Genova for repairs on July 3 at 2.45 p.m.
