Mechanical damage off Crete
The Port Authority of Sitia was informed in the evening of June 13, 2021, by the Captain of the 'Paros Jet' about a mechanical damage 13,5 nautical miles northeast of Sitia on its scheduled route from the port of Rhodes to Halki - Diafani - Karpathos - Kasos with final destination Sitia with 61 passengers and 28 crew members on board. The ship managed to safely reach the port of Sitia, where the passengers were disembarked safely. The Sitia Port Authority banned the ship from saling until compeltion of repairs and the presentation of a class maintenance certificate by the attending classification society.
