Ferry suffered engine fault
The Port Authority of Patras was informed on May 4, 2022, at noon by the Captain the 'Pantanassa' about a fault in the starboard side main engine and specifically of the electronic control of its movement, while the ferry was in the process of leaving for a scheduled route from the eastern pier of Patras Rio to Antirrio. The Central Port Authority of Patras initially banned the departure of the ship. After presenting a certificate of seaworthiness by the classification society that monitors it, it was allowed to continue on its itinerary.
Mechanical damage in Salamis
The Port Authority of Salamis was informed in the evening of June 25, 2020, about a mechanical failure of the 'Panatanassa' while in the port. The 3rd Port Department of Salamis of the Central Port Authority of Piraeus banned the ship from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate by the monitoring classification society. The ship was still berthed in the Faneromeni Salaminas Port as of June 26.
Engine failure in Andirrion
In the evening of April 24, 2019, the Patras Port Authority was informed about a mechanical damage of the "Pantanassa". The ferry had berthed at the western pier of Andirrion at 10.15 p.mn. Upon its planned departure the crew remarked that the starboard side main engine could not be started. The ship, serving the Patras Rio-Antirrio route, was detained until the damage was repaired. By April 25 the ferry remained stationary in port.
