Ship sidelined in Chalkis due to anchor winch damage

The Port Authority of Chalkida was informed in the early morning hours of Jan 3, 2022 by the Captain of the 'Panormitis' about a fault in the anchor winch (in the southern port of Chalkis. The Central Port Authority of Chalkida banned the ship from sailing until the repair of the damage and the presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness by the classification society that monitors the ship.

Ship disabled in Bosphorus

The "Matrona" was disabled on June 12, 2018, at midnight, while transiting the Bosphorus in southern direction, en route from Novorossiysk to Fatsa. The ship was moored at Buyukdere anchorage for troubleshooting. On June 13 it was still in pos. 41° 9.41' N 029° 2.73' E. She berthed in Istanbul at the ALTAŞ Ambarlı Liman Tesisleri Tic. A.Ş., in Marmara on June 15 at 10 a.m.

Cargo ship adrift in Zonguldak

The ropes of the "Matrona" parted due to adverse weather condition together with heavy seas and strong wind at Zonguldak inner harbour on Jan 18, 2018. Additional ropes were provided by pier duty teams and the vessel safely re-berthed at the pier.
