Bulkcarrier boarded by robbers
The 'Palais' was boarded by three robbers armed with long knives, who approached in an unlit boat, in the Singapore Strait in position 001 14 42N, 104 02 18E, on April 15, 2020, at 5 p.m. The duty oiler on routine rounds noticed the robbers in the engine room and raised the alarm. The Master made a PA announcement, the crew mustered and conducted a search. Hearing the alarm and seeing the crew's alertness, the robbers escaped with stolen ships engine spares and other properties.
