Slight damage in collision

The barge "Atlantic Marlin" (2318 gt, built 2000), being pushed by the tug "Atlantic Elm", was in collision with the "Thorco Isadora" in position 63 57 04.2N, 93 38 28.2W, on Aug 22, 2019, at 5 a.m. Both the "Thorco Isadora" and "Atlantic Marlin" suffered minor damages.

Engine trouble off Point Natashquan

The "Thorco Isadora" suffered a main engine problem and was subsequently disabled 12 miles south of Pointe Natashquan, Quebec, in position 049 54 48.0N, 061 46 09.0W,on July 15, 2019, at 10.50 a.m. The crew carried out repairs and the vessel resumed its voyage from Becancour to Baker Lake, ETA July 22.

Maersk / Rickmers Line's 'Maersk Illinois' makes her first homeport call in Norfolk, Virginia. Maersk Illinois and her sistership Maersk Texas are heavy-lift multipurpose vessels owned by Maersk Line Ltd. (MLL) and operated in partnership with Rickmers-Linie (America). The two companies formed Maersk-Rickmers to provide commercial service to shippers of break-bulk and project cargo. Both ships can lift 480 metric tons. Maersk-Rickmers competes in international markets and for U.S. flag-impelled cargo.
