Medevac off Puttgarden

On Apr 23, 2016, at 3.30 p.m. the master of the "Favourisation" notified the MRCC Bremen that a 40year old Philippine crew member was suffering from chest pain. The lifeboat "Emil Zimmermann" was dispatched to the ship with a medical on board and rendezvoused with the cargo vessel 1,5 miles North of Puttgarden. The ship had stopped, and the medicals and two crew members of the lifeboat embarked onto the "Favourisation". The patient was stabilized and transferred onto the "Emil Zimmermann" on a stretcher using a crane of the cargo ship. In Puttgarden he was taken to hospital by ambulance. The "Favourisation" which was coming from Tornio berthed at the Bominflot bunker station in Kiel in the evening.
