Detention in Thessaloniki

In the afternoon of Jan 20, 2020, a port state control was carried out aboard the 'Oriental Queen' in the port of Thessaloniki by an authorized PSC/PARIS MOU inspector, following which a detention measure was imposed after the detection of serious offenses regarding Annex 'X' to CO 2009/16 / EC. The Central Port Authority of Thessaloniki imposed the administrative sanctions. The ship had arrived in port, coming from Nemrut Bay, on Jan 19 at 11.10 p.m. It was released and sailed again on Jan 31 at 2 p.m. and headed to Istanbul where she arrived on Feb 2 at 11.30 a.m., being bound to Novorossyisk with an ETA as of Feb 5.

No drugs aboard Henny

The search for drugs aboard the "Henny" which started on May 25 was stopped on June 11 without result. The custom officers had controlled the whole ship, but the ship hhad only fish meal on board. The cargo was now being loaded again which may take another 5-6 days before the ship continues its voyage to Kaliningrad. Whether the owners would be compensated was not yet clear.
