Emsland

Wed Feb 05 02:53:13 CET 2014 cantabria

Vessel entered the port of Santander by her own means. Seems like port tugs made fast inside the bay as a precautionary mesure for berthing.

Listing ship towed to Santander

Mon Feb 03 10:13:03 CET 2014 Timsen

Just coming from the Keppel Verolme Shipyard in Rotterdam, where it had sailed on Jan 29, 2014, the "Emsland" was towed into the port of Santander by two tugs on Feb 2, 2014, with a list to port obviously after the cargo had shifted in a violent storm raging off the Spanish coast. Thu Oct 04 10:33:46 CEST 2012 Timsen

In the evenmng of Oct 2, 2012, a fire broke out aboard the "BBC Emsland" at Dusavika in Stavanger. The fire department reported the fire was under control at 7.22 p.m. Plastic cargo below deck had caught fire and caused dense smoke. Damage, however, remained limited, the cause was still unknown. After a comprehensive inspection on board using a thermal camera, the fire crews returned to their station at 8.26 p.m. Norwegian report with photo: http://www.aftenbladet.no/nyheter/lokalt/stavanger/Brannen-i-lastebaten-slukket-3042059.html
