Pump overheated on ferry

On Dec 14, 2019, at 9.30 a.m. the Danish Defence deployed a rescue helicopter and the patrol vessel 'Nymfen' to the 'Omø'. The crew of the ferry had reported smoke development on board. The ferry headed for Stigsnæs. It was quickly found out that the smoke came from an overheated bilge pump . The pump was stopped and there was no open fire.

Omø ferry ran aground

On Nov 24, 2018, at 7 p.m. the Danish Maritime Assistance Service received notification that the "Omø" had run aground sailing between Stigsnæs and Agersø, but managed to back off without assistance and apparently without damage. The Danish Maritime Authority did not request the ferry to be detained after the incident.

Ferry in yard due to rudder trouble

The "Omø" suffered problems with the rudder which got stuck, and the ship had to be sent to a repair yard in Assens on Oct 7, 2014, where it docked at 5 p.m. The Problems occurred in the afternoon of Oct 5 and caused the ship to be unable to maneuver. Divers have been sent down to check the rudder gear, but there have not been visible problems. A smaller ferry was inserted for the time of the yard stay.
