32 people quarantined
32 people have been quarantined on the "Olympic Electra" in Stavanger, after one man was tested positive for the new coronavirus. The infected person comes from the Philippines and had been tested in connection with a crew change. The Randaberg municipality was now collaborating with the harbour guard and the shipping company, which has been in dialogue with the National Institute of Public Health in connection with infection detection. The company has followed the procedures they have. The ship has been on assignment for a client. Shipowner Stig Remøy states that from their crew of 18 people, there were six foreign and 12 Norwegian crew members on the ship. In addition to these 18, the client also has staff on board. The infected man was tested for the coronavirus in his home country. There, the sample was negative. When the person came on board the "Olympic Electra", a new test was taken, which was positive. He has no symptoms of corona and new tests will be ready on Aug 5.
