Two missing after collision

Two men went missing after the Vietnamese fishing vessel 'TB 96666 TS' collided with the 'Olympia', which was enroute from Shanghai to Nha Trang on March 9. 2021, off the central Phu Yen Province. The f/v was catching fish in the waters near the Dong Hoa Commune, about 120 nautical miles from the Dien Cape. The nine crew members fell into the sea. The container ship managed to save seven people, one of whom was severely injured. Two other fishermen, the 42-year-old Nguyen Van Chau and 47-year-old Nguyen Van Bang, remained missing. The seven rescued fishermen have been taken to shore for treatment. An SAR operation was ongoing to look for the missing fishermen. The container ship dropped anchor off Nha Trang on March 10 in pos. 12° 13.05' N 109° 13.59' E.
