Former fishing vessel sank in the Skagerrak
In the night of Sep 4, 2013, the "Olga von Skagen" sank in the Skagerrak north of Skagen. The crew of two and their dog was rescued by a passing bulkcarrier and taken to Hirtshals. The ship was underway from Skagen to Larvik. The crew had raised alarm on Sep 3 at 11 p.m., and the Danish Søværnets Operative Kommando dispatched a helicopter. The crew saved themselves onto a raft as their ship sank on a water depth of 350 metres. They said their ship had been in collision with a submerged obstruction.
