Ferry broke down on Voldsfjord

The ferry service Volda-Folkestad was interrupted for more than one hour, the service Volda-Lauvstad for three hours on Feb 10, 2018, after the "Ølen" enroute from Volda to Folkestad broke down on the Voldsfjord at 10.50 a.m. She went adrift and had to be towed to the dock in Volda by the "Folkestad", arriving back about one hour after its departure. It was found out that an electrical cable was damaged, causing a failure of the maneuvering system. Disabled ferry towed to yard

The "Oelen" had to be towed by a lifeobat to the Larsnes Mekaniske Verksted due to technical problems on the Årvik - Koparnes route on July 11, 2015, at 1 p.m. Norled inserted the replacement ferry "Høgsfjord" on the route.

Ferry slammed into quay

The ferry service Årvik-Koparnes in South-Sunnmøre was out of operation until further notice on Mar 24, 2015, after the "Ølen" allided with the quay in Årvika on the Rovdefjord. The ferry had too much speed and bumped into the quay, thereby losening fenders and suffering propeller damage. After the accident, additional departures on the route between Larsnes and Åram were offered as compensation, and at 11 a.m. the ferry "Høgsfjord" was inserted as a spare ferry between Årvik and Koparnes until the "Ølen" has been repaired.
