Medevac off Scheveningen
In the afternoon of Sep 1, 2014, a crew member of the "Anneleen Knutsen" became unwell and complained about chest pain. The captain of the "Anneleen Knutsen" liaised with the Coast Guard, which in turn contacted the Radio Medical Service and the KNRM. The doctor recommended a medevac of the man from board of the tanker which was anchored in the anchorage area about 6 miles from Scheveningen. The KNRM crew of the station Scheveningen was alerted and dispatched the lifeboat "Kitty Roosmale Nepveu", Three of its crew members prepared the patient for the transport in a stretcher. The lifeboat took him to Scheveningen, where an ambulance was waiting to take the man to hospital. Medevac off Rotterdam
On Nov 18, 2012, at 3.20 p.m. the "Anneleen Knutsen" requested a medevac off Rotterdam on position 52°08.24 N 003°43.56 E. The KNRM-lifeboat "Jeanine Parqui" left its station at 3.30 p.m. and was alongside the anchoring tanker at 4.15 p.m. The Norwegian patient was transferred onto the lifeboat via the gangway and the pilot's fallreep and taken to the Berghaven around 5 p.m. from where a taxi took him to hospital.
