Disabled vessel towed to Almería

On Nov 8, 2021, at dawn, the 'Nuevo Virgencita' with four crew members on board suffered an engine failure about four miles south of Almería. The ship contacted Salvamento Marítimo and requested towing assistance. The SAR vessel 'Salvamar Spica' (MMSI: 225987262) was tasked to tow it to the fishing port of Almería, where it was safely moored at 6.10 a.m.
