Ship shifted to Patras after grounding
On Nov 23, the 'NS Pride' sailed safely to the anchorage of the port of Patras, accompanied by the tug 'Amazon'. No marine pollution was observed. The Central Port Authority of Patras, which conducts the preliminary investigation, prohibited the sailing of the ship, until the presentation of a class certificate by the monitoring classification society.
Grounding west of Antirrio
On the morning of Nov 21, 2024,, the Port Authorities of Patras and Rio were informed about the grounding of the 'NS Pride', with ten crew members on board, all Albanian nationals, 0.8 nautical miles west of the port of Antirrio in the Gulf of Patras. mmediately, the local emergency plan was implemented and the tug 'Amazon' was dispatched, as well as a patrol vehicle, which remained at the scene for any assistance, until the weather conditions improved. The ship was en route from the port of Thisvi in the Gulf of Corinth to Valletta in laden codition. No injuries, no water and no pollution were reported.. The 1st Port Department of Rio of the Central Port Authority of Patras, which was conducting the preliminary investigation, prohibited the ship from sailing and the presentation of a certificate of maintenance of class by the monitoring classification society. Disabled vessel towed to Patras
In the morning of March 25, 2019, the Port Authority of Patras was informed about a mechanical malfunction aboard the "NS Pride" three miles west of the Rio-Antirion bridge. The vessel was bound from Ancona to the port of Agios Nikolaos at Viotia. The ship was taken in tow by the tug "Proteas" (IMO: 8811273) and safely reached the port of Patras at 8.45 a.m. The Central Port Authority of Patras detained the ship until an inspection proved the seaworthyness. The "NS Pride" sailed again on May 14 at 5.15 p.m., bound to Elevsis where she arrived on May 15 and docked at the Aspropyrgos Terminal at 11.20 a.m.
