Container ship boarded by robbers
The 'Trinidad Trader' was boarded by unknown number of perpetrators while anchored at Port-au-Prince anchorage, Haiti, on March 8, 2020, at 8.40 p.m. The duty able seaman was attacked, bit it later was found that he was not seriously injured. The general alarm was sounded, and all the crew mustered in the accommodation area. The Port-au-Prince port control and Haiti Coast Guard were informed. After about 20 minutes, the Chief Officer conducted a search of the vessel, but did not find the perpetrators. The search party found four mooring ropes and one metal wire with hook missing, presumed stolen.
Allision in Puerto Cortés
The "Trinidad Trader" allided with barriers installed off the 5C quay Puerto Cortés, Honduras, while proceeding to its berth on Jan 11, 2019, at 2.15 p.m. with tug assistance upon its arrival from Caucedo, Dominican Republic. The ship disengaged from the barrier with the help of a tug and moved to an anchorage for surveys. At 6 p.m. she berthed at the 5C quay. The vessel sailed from Puerto Cortes on Jan 13.
