Ferry assisted disabled fishing vessel
The 'Nordlys' with more than 100 passengers on board came to the rescue of a fishing vessel with a crew of two on board, which had suffered an engine failure off Kvænangen in the night of Aug 15, 2020, and was adrift amid stormy weather and rough seas. The ferry diverted to the position outside Kvænangen in North Troms after being contacted by the Main Rescue Center on the coastal radio. They kept the boat under control until the Coast Guard took over. Norwegian report with photos: https://www.vg.no/nyheter/innenriks/i/70X0wV/sjark-fikk-motorstopp-ble-reddet-av-hurtigruteskip
