Nordbanken disabled off Båtsfjord
In the morning of Nov 15, 2018, the lifeboat "Reidar van Voss" was called to assist the "Nordbanken", which was disabled with engine problems 80 nautical miles north of Båtsfjord in Finnmark. At 11.30 the boat was on its way out for towing the fishing vessel to shore in rough seas. It was taken to the safety of the port of Båtsfjord on Nov 16 at 3.15 a.m.
Engine trouble in Barents Sea
70 miles off Berlevåg the "Nordbanken" suffered engine trouble and had to be taken in tow to port by a lifeboat of the NSSR on Sep 17, 2014. On May 13, 2014, the NSSR-lifeboat "Reidar von Koss" was called to assist the "Nordbanken" which had suffered propulsion problems after having sailed from Berlevaag.
