Freighter detained in Stralsund following PSC
During a port state control which was carried out on March 21, 2019, aboard the "Norbris", police officers found residues of oil and mud in the cofferdams. The competent authorities were informed and the ship was detained by the marine police in Stralsund. After cleaning and emptying the cofferdams, the detention was canceled in the evening and an invetigation regarding unauthorized handling of waste was launched. The public prosecutor's office Stralsund ordered a security deposit of 3000, - EUR to be paid, which was provided by the ships's broker. At 9.30 p.m. the ship sailed bound to Amoyfjord.
Emsbroker disabled in Northsea
The "Emsbroker" became disabled after it had suffered engine failure in bad weather in the North Sea on Jan 5, 2012. The vessel’s crew discovered a problem with its fuel line and requested assistance. The tug Pegasus (IMO: 9433743), departed from Rotterdam and proceeded to the scene in order to take the "Emsbroker" under tow. The freighter was en route to Rotterdam from Kingston uponn Hull.
