Grounding on the Rhine
The "Nemo" ran aground on the Rhine near St. Goar on Oct 10, 2018. The ship got stuck on rocks in the early morning due to the low water level and a driving mistake. It was enroute from Antwerp to Ludwigshafen with 400 tons nitric acid. Four hours later it could be pulled off again. No injuries and no pollution reported. During the salvage work the river was barred for shipping, and 20 ships queued nearby. The tanker was pulled into the port of Bingen for surveys of the hull by divers.
