Bulkcarrier stuck on Paraná
After having sailed from San Lorenzo to Gibraltar on Nov 30, 2015, the "Navios Sagittarius" got stuck on the Paraná River close to San Lorenzo port. The ship has a draught of 10,5 meters. After the bulker unsuccessfully attempted refloating manoeuvres under its own power, the Coastguard has requested tugs on the scene. The Argentine tug "Ranquel" (IMO: 9688702) was called from Rosario in the early morning of Dec 2 to assist. She was meanwhile joined by the "Tifon" (IMO: 8100026) from San Lorenzo, and both tugs were alongside the casualty on Dec 3, on Dec 4 being joined by the "Remolcador Tifon" (MMSI: 701006104).
