Tanker boarded by pirates
Enroute from Bonny to Lagos the "Navigator Capricorn" was attacked by pirates in position 03 33N 006 40E, 56 miles South of Bonny, on Aug 17, 2019, at 04.30 a.m. The crew retreated to the citadel and activated a security alarm. A team of the Nigerian Navy boarded the tanker, but the pirates already fled. One crew member was missing in the citadel, but had hidden somewhere else and was safe. The tanker returned to Bonny and was stationary in the morning of Aug 23.
