Eastbourne lifeboat crew called to help dying man on board ship
A lifeboat crew were called to help a 27-year-old man who fell ill aboard a ship. Dr Stephen Lytton and paramedic Guy Emery, Eastbourne volunteer crewmen, made their way to container ship Laura Schulte which was 16 miles off the coast of Eastbourne at 1.30am on Thursday. Sadly, they were unable to help the 27-year-old Filipino crewman was pronounced dead at the scene. The lifeboat returned to station and was made ready for service.
