Technical failure in Canakkale Strait

The 'Mykonos Seas', en route from Novorossiysk to Port Said. suffered a technical failure during the transit of the Canakkale Strait and moored at Karanlik Liman Anchorage under the supervision of a strait pilot on Oct 2, 2023, at 5 p.m. Repairs were carried out by the crew, and the vessel was granted departure permission. It heaved up anchor and resumed the strait passage on Oct 4 at 08.30 a.m. with an ETA at Port Said as of Oct 6.

Cooling system repairs off Pointe Manicouagan

The "Mykonos Seas" stopped the main engine off Pointe Manicouagan, Quebec, in position 48 59 30 N, 68 03 05.4 W to carry out some repairs on the cooling system on Aug 11 at 08.15 a.m. On Aug 12 at 11.50 p.m. the ship berthed at Montreal.

Medevac off Cold Bay

A Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew medevaced a mariner approximately 75 miles southeast of Cold Bay, Alaska, from the "Mykonos Seas" on Nov 16, 2014. Coast Guard 17th District Command Center watchstanders received a call from the "Mykonos Seas" requesting medical assistance for an injured crewmember. The duty flight surgeon recommended the medevac and the Jayhawk crew was launched out of Cold Bay to conduct the rescue. The helicopter crew hoisted the patient and transferred him to commercial medical services in Cold Bay for further transport to Anchorage and additional medical care. Weather on scene during the medevac was reported as 3-foot seas and 11 mph winds.
