Oil spill after hull cracked
An oil spill has been discovered from the grounded 'Minh Nam 07' on Jan 25. Based on the initial assessment, the remaining oil on board leaked after the hull cracked in half and sustained more damage, due to a tidal surge. The oil spill seen around the hull was about 100 metres long. The local authorities have coordinated with all relevant agencies and the owner of the vessel to control the leak from spreading further. The vessel ran aground in pos. 8°11,89' N 106°16,439' E on Oct 10, 2020, near Ky Anh town.
