Grounding at Saltstraumen
The "Kanutta" ran aground at Saltstraumenin the morning of Oct 15, 2018. The ship was hard aground with a list to starboard side. No water ingress or injuries were reported.The lifeboat "Skuld" has been sent to the site in emergency preparedness. The ship was on its way to Fauske when it was passing through Saltstraumen. At 1.20 p.m. the lifeboat managed to refloat the vessel. which was now heading with its own engine towards Finneid. The Norwegian Maritime Directorate will investigate the accident. Kanutta pulled off
The "Kanutta" was refloated from the sandbar off Harstad on Aug 11 at 6 p.m. and proceeded to Ramstad. The lifeboats "Det Norske Veritas" and "Kaptein Skaugen" had pulled the cargo ship off. Stone carrier ran aground
In the morning of Aug 11, 2012, the "Kalutta" ran aground in the Tjeld Sound at the approach of Ramsund, in the trechn between Gyltnes on Tjeldøya and Stokkøya. The crew of five was not injured. The ship was carrying a cargo of stone enroute from Kobbvågen in Bø to Ramstad when it got out of the fairway. Bodø Radio raised alarm at 6.40 a.m. The lifeboat "Kaptein Skaugen" was called from its station Svolvær to pull the vessel off the sandbar. Also the "Det Norske Veritas" was called from the station Ballstad, and the Coast Guard ship "Crusader" which was nearby proceeded to.
