Oil leak in engine room

On Feb 29, 2020, the 'MSM Don', en route from Calais to Las Palmas with 11 crew members on board, suffered an oil leak in the engine room on Feb 29, 2020. The ship dropped anchor in position 50 53 48 N, 001 20 46 E for repairs which required about six to seven hours to be completed. The CROSS Griz-Nez took over when the vesseldrifted towards the French SAR zone. The vessel had loaded 1751.26 tonnes of fibre optic cables. After repairs were completed, it resumed the voyage.

Fuel filter trouble off Isle of Wight

The "MSM Don", en route from Rotterdam to Haifa with a crew of 11 on board, suffered problems with fuel filters, 25 miles off Isle of Wight, in position 50 22 36 N, 000 45 06 W, on Oct 18, 2018, at 07.50 a.m. No pollution was reported, and no assistance requested. At 12.31 a.m. the vessel confirmed that the main engine was on, and the problem had been fixed. The AIS had also been changed, and the vessel was now under way.
