Container ship ran aground off Yeşilköy

On the night of March 14, 2025, the 'MSC Rhiannon' ran aground in front of Yeşilköy, Istanbul, en route from Constanta to Tekirdağ. The tug 'Kurtarma 9' (IMO: 9598581) as well as the lifeboat 'Kıyı Emniyeti 3' responded to the accident. The ship's hull was examined by a diver team and under the coordination of the Istanbul Ship Traffic Services Center. The ship was refloated on March 15 and safely moored in pos. 40° 56' N 028° 51' E, where it remained stationary as of March 17. Video: https://x.com/i/status/1900960070365544922
