Disabled cargo ship under tow to Dunkirk

The "Okee Ann Mari" lifted anchor on Apr 28 and was taken in tow by the tug "Fairplay 33" (IMO: 9476006) which was contracted by the vessel's owner Okee Maritime GmbH in Hamburg. The towage commenced by 5.20 p.m., and the ship, loaded with a cargo of 9.958 tons, was pulled to Dunkirk, ETA May 1, 6 a.m.

Engine failure off Falmouth

The "Okee Ann Mari", en route from Dunkirk to Lisbon, suffered a main engine failure in position 050 01 50.4 N, 004 38 30.6 W, on April 26, 2019, at 1.40 p.m. The weather on scene was WSW wind of 35 knots with a rough sea. The vessel was seeking tug assistance. The entry into Falmouth harbour was denied due to the size of the vessel. It dropped anchor in pos. 50° 2.08' N 004° 34.92' W.
