Nedlloyd Juliana broke down in the Dover Strait
On Nov 10, 2013, the "Nedlloyd Juliana" entered the port of Zeebrugge as an emergency port after having encountered propeller problems on Nov 8 in the Dover Strait en route from Dover to Bremerhaven. The main engine had to be shut down. The ship was taken in tow by four tugs and towed as dead ship to port. At the terminal of APMT Zeebrugge all containers were unloaded while the search was on for a suitable dry dock for the necessary repairs. On Nov 11 around 8 a.m. the ship was towed out of the Albert II Dock by the tugs "Smit Tiger" and "Union Boxer" bound for Bremerhaven.
