Allision in Bremerhaven
On Aug 8, 2013, at 11.10 p.m. the "Queen Sapphire" allided with the quay in the basin off the Kaiser Lock in Bremerhaven. The ship was assisted by two tugs when sailing from the Kaiser Port to the car port. The stern by yet unknown reasons hit the Pier at the Geo-Plate-St. Both the pier and the ship suffered damages. The hull at the starboard side stern was breached above the water line. The ship was detained and docked in the North Port.
