Thor Liberty stopped by stormy weather now

Thu Jan 12 20:56:50 CET 2012 Timsen

The "Thor Liberty“ sailed from the ammunition pier in Koruegen/Kiel Bight on Jan 12 at 11 a.m. After a special company from Hamburg has loaded the containers with missiles and explosives according to the rules, the freighter was allowed the onward journey by the water police. The ship is equipped with internationally valid certificates. However, there was a further delay caused by the raging storm. The captain decided to anchor at Holtenau roads to wait for weather improvement. Presumably in the midday hours of Jan 13 the ship will enter the Kiel Canal on its way to South Korea. The appropriate application for the passage was made by the shipping agency UCA Kiel.
