Medevac off Flushing
The Breskens lifeboat evacuated a sick woman from the "Misida" in the morning of Dec 6, 2017. The "Misida" was on its way from Tilbury to Antwerp. On the North Sea, a woman on board fell ill and the captain decided to contact the Radio Medical Service (RMD) via the Dutch Coast Guard. The doctor advised to take the woman off and take her to the hospital for control. In consultation it was decided to evacuate the woman in the estuary of the Wester Scheldt. At 8.30 a.nm. the lifeboat "Zeemanshoop" proceeded to the spot where the woman was taken aboard the lifeboat via the pilot ladder. In the foreport of Flushing the woman was transferred to an ambulance for transport to the hospital.
