Trawler grounded at Eyemouth
Both Eyemouth RNLI lifeboats were launched by the UK Coastguard on Nov 24, 2018, at 06:30 a.m. after it was reported that the "Minch Harvester - CY 702" had run aground leaving the harbour. A tow line was passed but due to the falling tide, the trawler was stuck fast. With assistance from Coastguard teams, the vessel was secured and the volunteer crew stood by until the trawler re-floated and towed it into deeper water. Once it was confirmed no damage had been sustained, the lifeboat was stood down and returned to station, around six hours after the initial call.
