Ferry suffered mechanical issues

The 'Melissa Ann', 60 gt, which services between Kingston and Seattle, suffered mechanical issues on Dec 7, 2020, and cancelled all sailings. The Kitsap Transit was awaiting parts to complete repairs on Dec 8. In the afternoon, an extra Routed bus was inserted to Indianola and Kingston to transport passengers from the Bainbridge Island Ferry Terminal.

Ferry sidelined in Seward

The "Melissa Ann" (60 gt, built 1988), was taken out of service for emergency repairs in seward on Sep 20, 2019. The scheduled sailings on the Kingston-Seattle route was cancelled due to the incident. The "San Juan Clipper" has taken over the ferry route until the repairs have been completed.

On Feb 27, 2010, the "Melissa Ann" which serves the Vashon Island to downtown Seattle route of the King County Water Taxi, had to be been taken out of service due to a damaged propeller, the service might be interrupted until Mar 1. Actually the ship is docked at the Alaskan Way Viaduct.
