Allision in Brunsbüttel
Enroute from Kemi to Hamburg the "Conmar Gulf" allided with a platform with a signal light marking the position of the demolished former jetty 3 at the locks of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel at the end of the transit of the waterway on Nov 6, 2018, at 9.40 a.m. The whole platform fell into the water. A buoy was laid out to warn passing ship traffic. The accident happened in dense fog. The ship resumed its voyage at 11 a.m. and berthed in Hamburg at 11 p.m.
Repairs of fuel supply completed
On Jan 23 at 10.15. p.m. the "Conmar Gulf" left the North Port in Kiel after engine repairs and renewal of class certification. The ship initially had suffered trouble with the fuel supply during the transit of the Kiel Canal at Breiholz on Jan 22. After repairs of the crew it continued the westbound transit, but at Schwartenbek it was disabled again. The tugs "Bülk" and "Holtenau" were called from Kiel and pulled the ship to the Voith Quay at 10.30 p.m. to undergo substantial repairs.
Trouble in the Kiel Canal
Enroute from Antwerp to Kokkola the "Conmar Gulf" was disabled during the transit of the Kiel Canal on Jan 22, 2017, at 11:20 p.m. at the height of the Levensau Bridge. The ship berthed at the Voith Quay in the North Port of Kiel on Jan 23 at 5.15 a.m. for troubleshooting.
