Grounding near Stabben
Coming from Mongstad, the "Ingvild" ran aground at Grasskjeret west of Stabben l/h off Florø on June 27, 2017, at 12.30 a.m. The ship had a crew of 15 on board. The ship hit bottom with a speed of 11.2 knots and was stuck on a length of about six meters. A tug was called, and the lifeboat "Halvdan Grieg" was sent out from Florø as a precaution. No injuries, no pollution. At 2.35 p.m. the ship refloated with own power and berthed at the cargo terminal Florø. It sailed again on June 29 at 9.15 a.m. and headed for Follafoss, ETA July 1. On July 5 it docked at the Westcon Yards AS in Ølensvåg for repairs. Ship arrested due to outstanding payments
The Norwegian Coastguard arrested the "Ingvild" on request of the District Court as security for outstanding pilotage payments and security fees. Some of the requirements were over two years old. The Major Sletten Rederi AS declared bankruptcy in October. The vessel is owned by Timberline II AS. The total claim was at $ 333 402.85. The vessel was berthed in Sauda since Nov 21, 2014, and was taken in custody until the outstanding amount to the Coastguard was paid.
