Protestors arrested at Hobart port

Thu Aug 18 06:15:49 CEST 2011 arnekiel

Tasmanian police arrested five protestors who allegedly planned to board a cargo ship at port in Hobart early hours of yesterday morning to protest against timber shipments, Lloyds List reports. It is alleged the protestors used a small-inflatable dinghy to approach the general cargo vessel Matsusaka which was docked at Macquarie No.3 Wharf. The Matsusaka, a 13,827dwt, Hong Kong –flagged ship, was in Hobart to collect veneer timber.
