Freighter adrift off Yeniköy
On Oct 24, 2013, at 7:30 p.m. the "Marquise" being enroute with a cargo of 25667 tons wheat from Yuzhny to Piräus with an ETA of Oct 26, went adrift at Yeniköy. The Turkish Coast Guard immediately dispatched the tugs "Kurtarma 4", "Kurtarma 9" and the lifeboat "Kıyı Emniyeti 1" to assist the vessel.
