Tanker detained for illegal oil transfer
The "Pu Tuo San" was detained by Indonesian authorities conducting unauthorized ship-to-ship transfer, in the waters off Batam on Nov 21, 2018. The crude oil tanker was located in position 001 16 53N, 104 00 16E, 6,3 miles from Changi on Singapore East Anchorage.
Glencore charters VLCC to store gas oil
Glencore, the world's largest diversifiedcommodities trader, has booked a supertanker to store part of the nearly four million barrels ofgas oil it purchased in July, industry sources said on Monday. Glencore, which bought at least 3.75 million barrels of 0.5 per cent sulphur gas oil, is expected to take delivery of the Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) Pu Tuo San in Singapore, shipping sources said. The storage option listed for the supertanker is for six months, shipping sources said. The VLCC is being chartered from Singapore oil company Hin Leong's shipping arm Ocean Tankers for $25,000 per day, shipping sources said.
