Master medevaced with suspected corona virus infection
The master of the 'Maple Glory' was medevaced by helicopter in the afternoon of Jan 30, 2021 off Ferrol, in the Atlantic, and transferred to hospital. The ship which was en route from St. Petersburg, Russia, to Santos, had requested medical assistance for its sick Captain who was showing coronavirus symptoms. The bulk carrier interrupted the voyage and headed for El Ferrol to rendezvous with the helicopter.
