The United Stateshave imposed sanctions against six more tankers trying to break the embargo on oil transportation to and from Venezuela that the country has imposed, four with connections to Ukraine, one with Russia and one Venezuelan. A fourth, the 'Legacy', was operated by Fides Ship Management for a period in 2020 before being taken over by Panthea Marine and is now operated by the Russian company Berylicious. The other two were the 'Maxim Gorki', which is under the management of Transocean Shipping in Moscow, but owned by Venezuelan Govt INEA, and the 'Sierra' operated by Rustanker.

Medevac off Cape May

Tue Feb 12 18:52:45 CET 2013 Timsen

The US Coast Guard medevaced a 37-year-old man from the "Angistri" about 23 miles east of Cape May on Feb 11, 2013. The tanker crew contacted Coast Guard watchstanders at approximately 8:15 p.m, reporting an engineer aboard the ship was injured due to steam burns while in the engine room. A 45-foot Response Boat from the Coast Guard Station Cape May responded to the reported distress. Once on scene, the small-boat crew assessed the man’s condition, transferred him aboard the RB-M and transported him back to the station where the patient’s care was transferred to awaiting Coast Guard Training Center Cape May Fire Department crewmembers and local emergency medical personnel. He was later taken to Cape May Regional Hospital and reported to be in stable condition.
